Guide 01: How to join SSR League Racing


You would like to participate in our F1 Championship? Here is a short overwiev on how to join our official league races:




Sign up on this website:

Send an email to info@simsportracing.com including your first name, last name and the nickname you would like to use for the website. You mail will be answered as soon as possible and you will be sent your login data.




Get yourself a so-called Plain-text PSN-ID:

This is an PSN-ID that has the form "Firstname_Lastname". All our racers use such an ID for official league races. By this we try to avoid unrealistic names that our commentators can hardly pronounce in our Live-Streams. It doesn't have to be your real name, but it should look and sound realistic. Numbers, special signs and names of real-life celebrities are not allowed. First name and second name have to be separated by an underscore ("_").
To create a second PSN-ID is an easy thing and you don't need a second PS Plus membership!!! Here's a short Tutorial on how to do this: YouTube Tutorial Second PSN-Account




Find a team or create your own team and be your own manager:

Usually we have F1 teams who are still looking for a driver. If you want to join an existing team, go here:
International Drivers searching for a team

If you would like to be your own boss, you can also create a new team. To be able to do that, you'll need to find a name for your team and at least two drivers. Of course, you can be one of those 2 drivers. Then you'll have to make a post here: Register your team! .

To make a post, hit the "Kurzantwort"-Button on the bottom of the page. Then you'll have to enter the following information:

name of your new team, your name (plain-text PSN-ID!), your email, name of 1st driver (plain-text PSN-ID!), date of birth 1st driver, nationality 1st driver, start number 1st driver, name of 2nd driver (plain-text PSN-ID!), date of birth 2nd driver, nationality 2nd driver, start number 2nd driver.

Then hit the "Absenden"-Button to send your post.

Then you'll just have register your drivers for the race you would like to participate in (state the name of the track, the name of your team and the name of the drivers you want to sign up). You have to register your drivers for each event here: Register your drivers for a race!




Send a friend request to the PSN-ID Steen_Hunter prior to the league race

That's it! Congratulations. You will receive an invitation via PSN 15 minutes before the start of qualifying and are now a part of SimSportRacing

Guide 02: Important Regulations for League Races


We are currently working on an English version of our SSR F1 Rule Book. For now, please carefully read through the following regulations and always act accordingly!




Never start or continue the session

The host of the session is the only person who starts or continues the session. Never start or continue the session yourself at any stage by pressing the X-Button! This means specifically that you are not allowed to continue the session after qualifying and that you are not allowed to start the race at the starting grid by pressing the X-Button. If you do so, the session will have to be restarted!




Fair Driving is the first priority

Always drive in a fair and predictable manner. It is not allowed to cause collisions or destroy your car on purpose. If a collision occured and you are responsible, you have to wait for the involved driver and let him re-pass you. Keep in mind: The main difference between an open online race and a official league race is fair and responsible driving!

If you are involved in an accident and are of the opinion that the other driver caused the accident, you may inform your manager who will send a request for review to our stewards.




Order of Events

The following information is in Central European Time (UTC+1).

• Invitations via PSN: 05:15 p.m.
• Start of Qualifying: 05.30 p.m.
• After Qualifying: break of about 15 minutes
• Start of Race: 06:00 p.m.
• After the race: Interview with the TOP 3 drivers (invitation from PSN-ID "Simsportracing" after the race)

Restart of the session after Qualifying

It is sometimes necessary to restart the session after Qualifying. The host will form the starting grid manually according to the results of Qualifying. For the race you have to take the same tyre compound which you used for your fasted Qualifying lap time if you finished inside the TOP 10 (i.e. you set your fastest lap time on the Supersofts which put you on P5, then you have to start on Supersoft tyres). If you choose the wrong tyre, you will be disqualified.
